In 1789 the opening of a branch of the Thames and Severn Canal provided access to markets further afield, by way of a link through the River Thames. In 1841 a branch railway line was opened to Kemble to provide a link to the Great Western Railway at Swindon. The Midland and South Western Junction Railway opened a station at Watermoor in 1883. Cirencester thus was served by two railway lines until the 1960s

Eco-Antique Teacup Candles
I transform over 200 years of British tea porcelain in to pure burning organically scented candles. My porcelain is the very best of British design and each piece is accompanied by a brief history. My candles are amongst the purest organic candles that you will find with 90% less soot than paraffin wax, lead free wicks and an average burn time of around 40 hours in a teacup and up to 300 in my large slop bowls, which make amazing table centres. Each candle is hand poured by myself and made from 100% pure natural wax, lead free wicks and organic essential oils from a physic garden in Somerset (mostly country garden florals), making a unique gift that can be washed after burning and reused yet again.
Indian rugs, Italian clothing and a selection of jewellery.
