Broadstairs Summer Market
We are visiting Broadstairs this weekend from 25th – 27th June 2021 with a colourful Summer Market. The market will be situated on Viking Bay Parade overlooking the seafront with stalls, alfresco dining area, bar, entertainment for children and live music. Choose from a huge selection of freshly prepared street foods, artisan grocery products, arts, crafts, clothing and accessories or enjoy a craft beer from the Famous Last Stand bar whilst taking in the glorious Viking Bay.
Street Foods and Bar
A short walk from the town centre, not far from local independent shops, the market will feature local Kent traders as well as those from further afield. Freshly prepared street foods will include crepes, souvlaki, fajitas, burritos, churros, Ethiopian style barbecue chicken, arepas and oriental dishes. A fantastic selection of drinks will also be available behind the bar and from the stallholders to enjoy at home. This weekend the Famous Last Stand Bar is stocking a number of locally produced alcoholic drinks including Wise Owl Cider and craft lagers from the Maidstone based Musket Brewery.
Handmade Groceries, Arts, Crafts and Accessories
A huge selection of fresh street food will be complimented by artisan groceries available to savour at home. Meanwhile, in addition to foodie treats there will be an array of stalls selling unique arts, crafts, clothing and accessories including ethically traded and upcycled items. With a great selection of stalls attending, there really will be something for everyone at the Broadstairs Summer Market – this is a great opportunity to find plenty of unusual homeware or gifts for friends and family.
Live Music and Children’s Rides
Dine alfresco or enjoy a drink from the bar whilst listening to live music throughout Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th June 2021. Performing on Saturday we are delighted to welcome Ian Fox, Dumb Little Country Boy and Harripaul, whilst Acoustix and Lars Pluto visit on the Sunday. A selection of rides will be open to entertain our younger visitors throughout the weekend.
Covid-19 Safety Measures
Whilst some government restrictions remain in place, visitors will need to remain vigilant. Social distancing and extra sanitation measures will stay in place to help ensure this is a vibrant, fun market which is also safe for people to enjoy during these unusual times.
Broadstairs Summer Market is open Friday 25th June 12pm – 8pm, Saturday 26th June 9am – 8pm and Sunday 27th June 10am – 6pm. We are looking forward to seeing you this weekend!
