The East Riding of Yorkshire FEASTivals

As 2022 begins, we are excited to be working in partnership with East Riding of Yorkshire Council and The European Union Regional Development Fund to host a series of five FEASTivals across the East Ridings of Yorkshire. The East Riding of Yorkshire FEASTivals series will commence at the end of January 2022 and continue throughout February visiting the towns of Hessle, Hornsea, Market Weighton, Withernsea and Howden. Each event will be packed with mouth-watering street foods and live music as well as bar, artisan groceries, arts, crafts and accessories.

Hessle FEASTival – 29th and 30th January 2022

Campbell Glazier, comedy magician to attend Hessle FEASTival

Our tour of the East Ridings begins in Hessle, just north of the Humber Bridge. The Town Square and adjacent streets provide the venue for a fantastic weekend of foodie treats and live entertainment. Dig in to delicious street foods including traditional Mexican and Japanese dishes or choose from an array of groceries such as scrumptious brownies, award winning cheese truckles or fudge. A fine selection of beverages will be available to purchase and take home including fruit liqueurs, gin, rum and locally produced craft beers.

There will be no shortage of things to do at the FEASTival, with live music, comedy and magic performed on stage throughout the weekend and plenty of craft stalls to browse too. Candy floss and hook a duck will be attending from M J Leisure to entertain the young ones, whilst adults can relax with a drink from the Famous Last Stand Bar. Pop down and fill up on fun! Hornsea FEASTival – 5th and 6th February 2022

Award winning cheese truckles from The Great British Cheese to attend Hornsea FEASTival

In our second week, the FEASTival heads to the East Riding coast with a trip to Hornsea, well known for its history of pottery production. Here you will find another selection of mouth-watering street foods as well as  Spanish & French saucisson, cheese, continental fine foods, traybakes, jumbo scones and spice pastes making a great line up of handmade groceries to treat yourself!

Entertainment for the whole family will include live music, comedy and magic on stage all weekend as well as M J Leisure’s Old Time Funfair rides, hook a duck and candy floss stall for the little ones. Accompanying the Hornsea FEASTival will be a range of other stalls to browse including Yorkshire Wildlife Trust, Working for Wildlife and The Portsonachan Hotel. Market Weighton FEASTival 12th and 13th February 2022

Heading back inland, we visit one of the main market towns in the East Riding of Yorkshire with a trip to Market Weighton midway between York and Hull. Situated on Market Hill, we invite you to wade in to a fantastic hot street food and artisan grocery selection. From traditional Mexican street food to continental fine foods, award winning cheeses and local biscuits by Taste of Yorkshire there will be no shortage of foodie treats to enjoy while soaking up a superb selection of live music and comedy for the whole family. A range of stalls will be accompanying the Market Weighton FEASTival with a selection of unusual homewares, garden products and gift ideas as well as M J Leisure’s Old Time Funfair rides. Withernsea FEASTival 19th and 20th February 2022

Back on the East Coast we visit Withernsea with its famous white inland lighthouse for the fourth of our East Riding of Yorkshire FEASTivals. You will need to make plenty of room as our street food selection and unusual range of handmade groceries comes to Valley Gardens! Alongside the foodie streets you will find a packed line up of live music from artists such as Eleanor Grace and Av-It! plus interactive family comedy from The Comedy Checkout all weekend. The Famous Last Stand bar will be serving a selection of ales, lager, gin and prosecco for our adult visitors while M J Leisure’s old time funfair rides will be on hand to entertain the kids. Howden FEASTival 26th and 27th February 2022

On the final stop of our East Riding of Yorkshire FEASTivals tour, we visit Howden for a final blast of family-friendly food related festivities and live music. Coming to Howden Market Place you will be able to fill your boots with a delicious selection of fresh street foods. Alongside the street food stands will be a selection of continental fine foods, cheeses, loaded cinnamon buns, plus barista coffee and flapjacks & shortbread from the Yorkshire Flapjack Company served by Coffee with Altitude. Accompanying the food stalls for our final East Riding of Yorkshire FEASTival will be a fantastic selection of craft stalls selling items from hand painted ceramic wall plaques to garden products and scented homeware & gifts.

A live entertainment stage will be running throughout the weekend including performances from York based musician Harrison Puckering and interactive family comedy from The Comedy Checkout on the Saturday. Sunday will see comedy magician Campbell Glazier plus high-energy rock band Av-It! take to the stage.
