This free to enter event is located just off the High Street within easy walking distance of the town and all public transport stops, so getting to and from the venue couldn’t be easier. On the stage there will be a line-up of great artists performing across a range of genre. Seating area and a family friendly atmosphere provide an ideal relaxation area to escape the Carnival crowds.
Please note that numbers in this area will be limited at any one time, although food purchased at the event may be taken away for consumption. Not so for alcoholic drinks which must be consumed on site.
Home to one of the oldest cinemas in the UK (the Dome Cinema) and an Edwardian covered shopping arcade the town has plenty ‘worth’ visiting and lives up to its name meaning – ‘place of worth’. The area dates back to pre history with the greatest concentration of Stone Age flint mines in Britain. More recently Oscar Wilde stayed in the town in 1893 while writing the Importance of Being Earnest. Nobl Prize winning playwright Harold Pinter made it his home in the early 1960’s.
Local areas of natural beauty include the highest point in Worthing, Cissbury Ring, and the local Worthing Downland Estate (Worthing Downs) part of the South Downs National Park.
