We pay two visits to the 'jewel in Thanet's crown' in 2023 as Broadstairs plays host to our unique street market with a festival feel. Featuring world street food, homemade grocery foods, art, crafts, clothing, jewellery and more, this eclectic range of stalls form 'home grown' to the 'exotic' has wide appeal.
Join us for a great gathering of goods and a feast of foods on Viking Parade overlooking the iconic bay in Broadstairs.

Broadstairs is seen as the seaside jewel in Thanet’s crown, a sought after location for home buyers and a mecca for tourists who flock to town each summer in search of Charles Dickens and a piece of traditional British seaside heaven.
Broadstairs was named after the steps (broad stairs) that were cut int the cliff face and used to run from the sands, to the cliff top. The town’s Latin motto, Stella Maris (“Star of the Sea”) comes from the shrine of St Mary on the cliff top which, was a major landmark for sailors – the ancient title for the Virgin Mary being ‘Our Lady, ‘Star of the Sea’ – latin ‘Stella Maris’, after which the chapel is named.
