Three days of food focused family festivities are coming to Chelmsford’s Central Park in May with live music, a range of children’s entertainments and a mouth-watering combination, food and drink with some top notch live music.

This free to enter event is within easy walking distance of the town and all public transport stops, getting to and from the venue couldn’t be easier  – come for a visit and stay for the day with plenty of entertainment for foodies and those who just like fun with their food. 

On the stage there will be a line-up of great artists performing across a range of genre. Alfresco dining, good food shopping, music a relaxed friendly atmosphere at this exciting new event for the Chelmsford Events Calendar. 

 International street foods, artisan grocery foods together with bars offering real ales, ciders, craft lagers, specialist spirits and plenty of fizz. 

Travel by road – Chelmsford is on the A1060 and A1016 roads and not too far from the A12

There are a number of places of interest within Chelmsford, including the 18-arch Victorian railway viaduct that spans the River Can in Central Park. One of three railway viaducts in the city that carry the Great Eastern Main Line. Chelmsford Cathedral which is located directly behind The Shire Hall. Originally called St Mary’s Church, it became a Cathedral when the Diocese of Chelmsford was created in 1914. It is officially the second smallest in England behind Derby Cathedral.

RSPB

Our current RSPB ‘Give Nature a Home’ campaign looks to engage people of all ages with the landscape in which we live. We would like to use this opportunity to offer information on how to give nature a home, promote the health and well-being benefits of getting out in nature and tips to support their local wildlife. We also look to educate the public in the importance of species protection and offer membership benefits and details in an informal, relaxed manner. *The RSPB stand offers tastings of their rapeseed oil grown at RSPB Hope Farm, Cambridgeshire*
