Visitor Info

Maidstone has a long history, with evidence of settlement in the area dating back to the Stone Age. The town crest shows a beast from further back in history, an iguanodon, the fossilised remains of which were discovered locally in the 19th century, and now reside in the Natural History Museum in London.

As well as a bustling town, places to visit include: the 14th century Archbishop’s Palace on the bank of the River Medway, Brenchley Gardens, Maidstone Museum, Leeds Castle with its Mote and extensive grounds, and the beautiful venue for our event – Mote Park.

This event is within easy walking distance of the town so why not work up an appetite and leave the car at home and keep those options open. Come for a visit and stay for the day with plenty of entertainment for foodies and those who just like fun with their food.
