Visitor Info
Our Annual Festival served up in Maidstone’s Mote Park . Located close to the Bowls Club and Leisure Centre. Just a 20 minute walk from the town centre, the Maidstone Freewheelin FEASTival will celebrate the best of local, regional, national and international products.
Maidstone has a long history, with evidence of settlement in the area dating back to the Stone Age. The town crest shows a beast from further back in history, an iguanodon, the fossilised remains of which were discovered locally in the 19th century, and now reside in the Natural History Museum in London.
As well as a bustling town, places to visit include: the 14th century Archbishop’s Palace on the bank of the River Medway, Brenchley Gardens, Maidstone Museum, Leeds Castle with its Mote and extensive grounds, and the beautiful venue for our event – Mote Park.
