Marlow Moves

18-19th June 2022 Higginson Park

Update: 25/05/2022 –

It is with regret that we have taken the decision to cancel this year’s Marlow Moves family music festival in Higginson Park. Following the lifting of pandemic restrictions, we were eager to bring a fresh, original music festival to Marlow for families to enjoy together. Unfortunately, our preparations for the event have been impacted by a number of factors. These include uncertainty caused by the Omicron variant which delayed the start of our promotional activity early in the year and more recently the rising cost of living impacting ticket sales across the industry. With rising operational costs including fuel and a resurgence in events competing for a shrinking amount of disposable income, we do not feel it is viable to deliver the music festival for 2022.

Our faith in this project has not diminished but rather than fight against all odds, we feel it will be better to reschedule for 2023. We will continue to work in partnership with Marlow over the coming year to deliver a fantastic music festival in 2023 – stay tuned for some exciting future announcements!

If you have purchased tickets for Marlow Moves, you will receive a full refund very shortly. If you have any queries, please email info@zoomevents.co.uk

We apologise for any disappointment this causes but look forward to welcoming you again in 2023.

Feel the beat and enjoy the heat in Higginson Park this June as a brand new family friendly music festival comes to Marlow with side show entertainments, children’s workshops, street foods and bars of distinction. The event features two stages with an eclectic line up of music spanning a range of genres blended for maximum satisfaction.

Opening Times:

Saturday: 10am – 9pm
Sunday: 11am – 7.30pm

Find out more about the performers at this year’s Marlow Moves

Harripaul

Jean Harripaul was born in London and grew up in Luton exposed to wide genres of music. In the 1990’s, Jean was known as ‘The Hustler’ as he would go from one studio to another to lay guitar parts down for many different groups!

He has subsequently formed a band and used stage names Ikeya and Harripaul. His singles and albums have been successful in the UK, Germany and Japan, with tours across the UK and Germany alongside the likes of Aveda and Change and later Rochford.

We are delighted that Harripaul will be playing their much acclaimed blues set at Marlow Moves!

The Zac Shultz Band

The Zac Schulze Gang is a young 3 piece that skilfully deliver an eclectic  mixture of up-tempo blues, rock and pop originals and covers ranging from the 50s to present. Drawing influence from artists such as Stevie Ray Vaughan, The Beatles, The Who, Dr. Feelgood, Rory Gallagher, Eagles, 10cc and many more. Bursting with energy and a bag full of talent you will not hear a better version of ‘Free Bird’ this side of Alabama!

Rudy Warman and the Heavy Weather

Rudy Warman and the Heavy Weather hail from Folkestone South Coast of England where sea storms are as much part of the landscape as the growing number of talented musicians taking up residence there. Rudy and the band have been leading this cultural charge with their own original material delivered in a unique style of melody driven blues that will touch your soul at Marlow Moves.

The Brothers Grimm with Special Guest Katie Bradley

The Grimms (formerly The Brothers Grimm) were formed in 1986 featuring Gary Miller on vocals. Gary has always recruited top musicians throughout the bands history, culminating in the current line-up as featured below. We are delighted to welcome them to Marlow Moves where they will headline alongside internationally acclaimed jazz artist, Katie Bradley.

GARY MILLER – Vocals Gary Ex Undertakers, The Practice (formed after the death of Lee Brilleaux and featuring Gypy Mayo, The Big Figure, John Sparkes, augmented by Steve ‘West’ Weston now with Wilko Johnson and Roger Daltrey. RUFUS RUFFELL – Guitar/Vocals Ex Undertakers, Nicky Moore Band, Leo Sayer, Love Affair, The Official Blues Brothers Show, and currently with Rock and Blues Legend Elkie Brookes. STEVIE SMITH – Vocals/Harp Ex Ruthless Blues, Salt. NED RYDER – Bass Guitar Ex Nicky Moore Band, Nine Below Zero, Long John Baldry. BOB LANGRIDGE Top session drummer.

Katie Bradley and The Soho Heart Band

The Soho Heart band are a band  from London and Kent playing a repertoire of rhythms to fill the heart.  Soulful tunes and grooves featuring songs from the very best Soul and Jazz divas.  Featuring award winning vocalist Katie Bradley who regularly performs at Ronnie Scott’s and prestigious festivals and venues worldwide. The band features top London musicians: Pete Farrugia on guitar, Bob Bowes on bass, Dominic Thatcher on saxophone, Dan Edwards on keys and Jason Smith on drums

Their originals album ‘Soho Heart’ garnered great acclaim in the Blues and Jazz press last year. Their music is often played on Radio 2, 6 and Jazz FM.
